Samuel is the top returning receiver to the South Carolina roster with 71 career catches for 944 yards. He’s scored 9 career touchdowns (6 rushing, 2 receiving and 1 kickoff).
In last year’s Birmingham Bowl against South Florida, Samuel, set the South Carolina single-game record with 14 receptions, which was also a Birmingham Bowl record. His 190 yards also broke the bowl game’s record.

The Chapman High School (Inman, S.C.) product signed with South Carolina in 2014 over offers from Maryland, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Vanderbilt. According to 247Sports, Samuel was rated as a 4-star and ranked as the No. 35 wide receiver in the country.
If he’s able to remain healthy and have another productive campaign in 2017, Samuel could make an early jump to the NFL. At 6-foot, 215 pounds, he’s got enough body to hold up in the NFL, either as a wide receiver or even a running back.
