South Carolina quarterback commitment Dakereon Joyner accounted for over 3,400 yards of offense and 52 touchdowns during his senior season at Fort Dorchester.
The 4-star prospect, who committed to the Gamecocks on Father’s Day, is set to join the team as a midyear enrollee in January. Below are over 10 minutes of highlights from his final season of high school ball, during which he led the Patriots to a 13-1 record.
Joyner completed 140 of 207 passes for 2,414 yards with 35 touchdowns. He also totaled 1,031 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns.

As a junior, he passed for 3,642 yards with 44 touchdowns and rushed for 1,089 yards and 12 scores. Afterwards, Joyner was named the South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year.
Fort Dorchester won its first-ever state championship during his sophomore season in 2015. That season, Joyner threw for 3,202 yards with 33 touchdowns, to go along with 1,058 yards rushing and 19 touchdowns.
In eight games as a freshman, he passed for 532 yards and rushed for 231 yards.

Joyner committed to South Carolina over a handful of Power 5 offers, including North Carolina State and Virginia Tech. According to the 247Sports composite, he is the No. 10 dual-threat quarterback in the Class of 2018.
At No. 222 overall, Joyner is the second-highest rated commitment for the Gamecocks upcoming signing class. Only 4-star wide receiver Josh Vann (Tucker, Ga.) is listed higher.
