Give South Alabama corner Jeremy Reaves an award because it may not be possible to give more compliments to a single group in one quote.
It’s clear Reaves was just completely in awe of Ole Miss’ pass catchers on Saturday in Oxford.

To call any group, “the best we’ve ever played” is something that isn’t heard very often. It’s also rare for any opponent to just concede that the other team is simply better, yet that’s exactly what Reaves did here.
He also had a very good reason to be wide-eyed at the players he had to cover on every play. A.J. Brown broke a school record and had 233 receiving yards on 8 catches. As a whole, the Rebels had 429 yards receiving on 28 catches and 15.3 yards per reception. In short, Reaves had a busy night and it showed.
He even called Brown a freak of nature twice. The question now becomes if Shea Patterson and his weapons can keep it up under Matt Luke. The Rebels have one more warmup in Oxford on Saturday against Tennessee-Martin before they hit the road for the team’s first true test against Cal on Sept. 16.
