It was pegged as the greatest opener ever. But Alabama flexed its muscles and showed that it was clearly the dominant team.

The Crimson Tide won easily 24-7, thanks to a dominating performance on special teams and defense. The Crimson Tide blocked a punt, field goal and forced a fumble on a kickoff return.

And they did some potentially serious damage to Florida State’s playoff chances, if Deondre Francois, who went down with an injury, misses serious time.

Afterwards, social media was gushing about the Crimson Tide’s dominant performance.

Alabama takes on another FSU next week, though it’s Fresno State and the Crimson Tide are hosting this game in Tuscaloosa. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
