Report: Todd Grantham among three MSU assistants expected to join Dan Mullen at Florida

It looks like Todd Grantham is heading back to the SEC East.

The former Georgia defensive coordinator and current DC at Mississippi State is one of three Starkville assistants whom Dan Mullen has offered positions at Florida, according to a report Monday afternoon from FootballScoop.

Mullen reportedly has offered jobs at Florida to Grantham, Mississippi State offensive line coach John Hevesy, and Bulldogs receivers coach Billy Gonzales. Each of the coaches is expected to join Mullen in Gainesville.

Grantham would likely be the Gators new defensive coordinator, while Hevesy and Gonzales may get promotions or stay in their current staff positions.

After spending time with Georgia, the fiery Grantham joining the Florida-Georgia rivalry on the other side would be good fun for the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.

Football Scoop also reports that Mullen could bring more of his Mississippi State staff with him to Gainesville but that at this point, the three above names are the only ones offered.
