Report: Texas Tech ace Steven Gingery to miss rest of 2018 season with injury

According to a report from Kendall Rogers of D1baseball.com, Texas Tech LHP Steven Gingery will miss the rest of the 2018 season.

Gingery tore his Ulnar Collateral Ligament and will require surgery to fix it.

In the 2017 season, Gingery went 10-1 with a 1.58 ERA, and was expected to be a massive part of the Texas Tech pitching rotation. Gingery, who hails from California, won Big 12 Pitcher of the Year as selected by the conference’s coaches for his efforts during the 2017 season.
