Tennessee is closing in on a deal to make Jeff Brohm its head coach, according to a report from the Volunteers’
flagship radio station:
Brohm is in his first year as Purdue’s head coach, where he’s 6-6. He played quarterback for Louisville in the 1990s and
served as an assistant coach from 2003-08.
After the Greg Schiano fiasco, this would seem to be a nice rebound for Tennessee. We’ll find out soon enough how accurate
the report is. This could have an impact on Louisville, too — it was fair to speculate whether or not Brohm was a potential
heir apparent to Bobby Petrino. This would throw a wrench into that plan.
