South Carolina could soon be in the market for a new offensive coordinator, as its current one has emerged as a candidate for a head coach opening.
Per USA Today’s Dan Wolken, South Carolina co-offensive coordinator Kurt Roper could be someone who ends taking the Rice job, as his name is “increasingly involved” with the Houston based school.

Roper is co-offensive coordinator with Bryan McClendon and has also been the offensive coordinator at Florida and Duke.
The Gamecocks went 8-4 this year, but it wasn’t always pretty, especially on the offensive side of the ball. The Gamecocks will go bowling for the second consecutive year, but it is not yet known where. The Gamecocks lost their final game of the regular season to Clemson.
