Report: Oregon State has not reached out to former LSU coach Les Miles

Oregon State is looking for a new coach. Les Miles is interested in returning to coaching. So it seems natural that the former Tigers coach could be a candidate for the Beavers’ opening – which was rumored to be a possibility on Tuesday.

However, as of Thursday, Oregon State has not yet reached out to Miles, according to Dennis Dodd of CBSSports.com.

Miles hasn’t coached since getting fired by LSU in September 2016. He had coached the Tigers since 2005, which included leading them to a national championship at the end of the 2007 season.

The Beavers are 1-8 and their previous coach, Gary Andersen, parted ways in October.

Miles has worked as a television analyst this season, but has previously expressed interest in returning to the sideline. The 63-year-old owns a 141-55 career head-coaching record over 16 seasons at Oklahoma State and LSU.
