Report: Arkansas forward Arlando Cook arrested on multiple charges

No matter the sport, most offseason news is usually bad news. Arkansas basketball just learned that lesson again on Saturday, as forward Arlando Cook was arrested on multiple charges, according to an Associated Press report via ESPN. Cook’s charges include first-degree assault, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct. He was arrested in Fayetteville.

Cook started seven games for Mike Anderson’s squad in 2016-17, averaging 2.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. Originally from St. Louis, Mo., Cook signed with Arkansas out of Connors State College after the 2015-16 season. Anderson released a statement calling Cook’s behavior as ‘unacceptable.’ Neither the university or the basketball program have released any information about potential discipline Cook will face at this time.
