Report: Arizona State to hire Herm Edwards as next head football coach

Herm Edwards is back in coaching.

Per a report by 247Sports, Arizona State plans on hiring Edwards as its next head football coach if it gets the approval of university president Dr. Michael Crow.

The Sun Devils fired Todd Graham after six seasons in Tempe as they went a disappointing 7-5 this season.

Edwards has not been a coach since 2008, when he was fired by the Kansas City Chiefs after three seasons. Previously, he had served as the head coach for the New York Jets from 2001-05 after years of being an assistant at the NFL level.
