Purdue football’s 2020 season has a new non-conference opponent from the state of Tennessee.

According to fbscedules.com, the Boilermakers have added the University of Memphis to their non-conference slate. The game between the Tigers and Boilermakers will also be the first-ever meeting between the two.

The addition was first reported by fbschedules.com, and it was confirmed by the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

According to fbschedules, Purdue will host Memphis on Sept. 12, 2020 and the Tigers will get a guaranteed check for $750,000 for the game.

Along with Memphis, Purdue will also play Notre Dame and Boston College on its 2020 non-conference slate.

Fbschedules.com report also noted the addition of Indiana State, an FCS school, to the Boilermakers’ 2022 football schedule. Purdue has met the Sycamores a total of five times, and has not lost to Indiana State. The two schools last met in 2015.
