10 prominent media members call for Kevin Sumlin’s firing

Kevin Sumlin is taking plenty of heat for Texas A&M’s shocking defeat to UCLA. It’s not just fans that think the Aggies should head in a new direction at head coach.

The Aggies did not score a point in the fourth quarter after rushing for more than 300 yards in the first three quarters as they blew a 34-point lead.

Courtesy of 247Sports reporter Brad Crawford, here’s a list of members in the media who weighed in on the situation, many of which believe Sumlin should be fired because of the historic comeback from the Bruins.

ESPN personality Paul Finebaum has a differing opinion from the media members above, believing it would be an overreaction “to fire a coach after one game.”

Texas A&M hosts Nicholls State on Sept. 9, with the game televised on ESPNU.
