Michigan football is always the main topic in Breakfast of Victors, Land of 10’s daily Wolverines notebook — but we cover news, notes and analysis across Wolverines sports. Join us each morning to get caught up on everything you missed in the world of Michigan football, recruiting, basketball and more.

A look behind Michigan’s camp

Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer David Turnley has co-authored two books with Jim Harbaugh — Enthusiasm Unknown to Mankind and Rise Again. The books chronicle Harbaugh’s tenure at Michigan through the last two seasons.

Turnley has unfettered access to the Michigan team and has released some amazing shots of the just-completed preseason camp. You can check those out here

Confident Bearcats

Cincinnati senior running back Mike Boone is confident in his team’s chances Saturday when the Bearcats come to Michigan Stadium to face the No. 8-ranked Wolverines in their home opener. Las Vegas odds makers are confident too. Michigan is favored by 34 1/2  points.

Captain Comeback

Harbaugh had the nickname of Captain Comeback during his NFL playing days. He knows all too well about being a big underdog as a coach as well. He was the first-year coach at Stanford in 2007 when his team was a 41-point underdog to Southern California. Some wide receiver named Richard Sherman converted a fourth-and-20 play late in the fourth quarter to set up history. This is a really good read by Kyle Bonagura of ESPN.com.

Harbaugh family podcast

Attack Each Day: The Harbaugh’s Podcast made its debut this week. The Michigan head coach had Jack Harbaugh, the family patriarch, and older brother and Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh, among his guests.

Familiar surroundings

Cincinnati coach Luke Fickell is well-acquainted with Michigan and Michigan Stadium. The former Ohio State player and coach has faced the Wolverines 20 times in his career.

Starting spot earned

Ben Gedeon led the No. 1-ranked Michigan defense in tackles last season. The Minnesota Vikings selected Gedeon in the fourth round of this year’s NFL draft. Gedeon will start at outside linebacker for the Vikings Monday night in their season opener against New Orleans.

Recruiting mail time

There are plenty of questions when it comes to Michigan recruiting, like: what’s happening with 2018 defensive tackle prospect Tyler Friday of New Jersey? Land of 10 answers some of your questions weekly.

Top running back to visit

Class of 2019 running back prospect Noah Cain came to Ann Arbor for the Michigan Elite camp this summer. According to Scout.com, he’ll be coming back for a visit in late November for the Ohio State game.
