While some LSU fans want the team to turn the page at quarterback, coach Ed Orgeron isn’t ready to do that yet.
Danny Etling wasn’t able to get much done in last Saturday’s 24-10 loss to Alabama, going 12-of-26 passing for 137 yards and an interception at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
During the SEC coaches teleconference on Wednesday, Orgeron was asked why he stuck with Etling and didn’t turn to true freshman Myles Brennan.
“Myles [Brennan] has not beaten him out. Danny is our quarterback. … Danny has done a lot of good things for our program and we believe in him.”
