Oregon in the mix for Florida State decommit

As the Oregon Ducks continue to build its recruit class with new head coach Willie Taggart, one potential target just hit the open market.

Marquez Ezzard, a 4-star recruit out of Georgia, just opened up his recruitment after originally committing to Florida State.

According to 247sports, Oregon is highly motivated to pursue Ezzard’s services.

Ezzard had been committed to Florida State since July 21st, but the Ducks have never given up on his recruitment. He was one of Oregon’s first offers for the class of 2018, getting his scholarship offer back on January 25th.

Now back on the market, the Ducks are expected to put a full court press on Ezzard and get him out for an official visit within the next month.

Here’s a look at some of his highlights from MaxPreps when he originally committed to FSU:

While Oregon hasn’t had the ticker tape year it always dreams of, at least they’ve shown signs of progress while Florida State is almost unquestionably the nation’s biggest disappointment of 2017.

Will Florida State’s pain be Oregon’s pleasure? We’ll see.
