Just one week after requesting a release from his scholarship to Ole Miss, safety Deontay Anderson has been granted that wish by new full-time head coach Matt Luke.
Per Dan Wolken, Anderson was alerted to the news on Monday afternoon and his attorney Tom Mars issued this statement:

Anderson claims that he was lied to by the Ole Miss staff on the ongoing NCAA investigation into the program. He will be eligible to play immediately at any school, including those in the SEC.
