Ole Miss fans got some good news on Sunday when the school announced that defensive tackle Benito Jones had been released from the hospital.
Jones was admitted to the hospital on Saturday so x-rays could be performed on his spine following a hit in practice. The school said that Jones is day-to-day in his injury status.

Jones had a solid freshman season as he racked up 4.5 tackles for loss. He was the highest rated defensive recruit in Ole Miss’ 2016 recruiting class and was a 5-star prospect per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
The Rebels open their 2017 season, with interim coach Matt Luke, on Sept. 2 when they take on South Alabama at home.
