Oklahoma junior offensive tackle Orlando Brown has earned the right to call himself the conference’s best offensive lineman for the second-consecutive year.

Brown was announced as the 2017 Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year, the league announced on Thursday.

The imposing offensive tackle has anchored one of the best offensive lines in the country for one of the most productive offenses.

He’s the extra insurance to Heisman hopeful Baker Mayfield’s blindside, and Brown should hear his name called early in the 2018 NFL Draft if he chooses to forego his senior season.

Brown and Oklahoma will play for the 2017 Big 12 Championship Game at 12:30 p.m. ET, Saturday, at AT&T Stadium. The Sooners will face the Horned Frogs of TCU in a rematch from a Nov. 11 game in Norman, Oklahoma.

The Sooners won that contest 38-20, and if they can beat the Frogs again, Oklahoma will likely be back in the College Football Playoff for the second time in three years.
