Oklahoma co-OC Bill Bedenbaugh named finalist for Broyles Award

The Oklahoma offense has been rolling along at a breakneck pace, and co-Offensive Coordinator Bill Bedenbaugh is being honored for his role in it. His name is one of five up for the Broyles Award, given to the best assistant in college football.

Also on the list are Kevin Steele, Auburn DC, Tony Elliot, Clemson co-OC, Troy Walters, UCF OC, and Jim Leonhard, Wisconsin DC.

If the Oklahoma offense can roll through the tough TCU defense again this weekend and continue that momentum towards the playoffs, we might be talking about it as one of the best Oklahoma units of al time. They’re already lead by Baker Mayfield, considered one of the best Sooner quarterbacks of all time, and we’re watching stars like Trey Sermon and CeeDee Lamb begin their careers.

The season isn’t over yet for Bedenbaugh and the Sooners’ offense, and they control their own destiny from here on out.
