Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield on brink of tying record TD-streak

Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield recorded one of the greatest single-game outings by a quarterback in Sooners history on Nov. 4. at Oklahoma State. Mayfield will be on the brink of history once again vs. TCU on Saturday.

Mayfield is a game away from tying former Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell for the most consecutive games with a touchdown pass in Big 12 history. Harrell threw a touchdown in 36 straight ballgames with the Red Raiders from 2006-2008.

Mayfield has never failed to throw a touchdown pass in any game he has played in at Oklahoma. The Sooners, however, will be up against one of the best defenses they have faced all year in the form of TCU this weekend.

Mayfield enters the top-10 showdown in Norman, Okla. with 3,226 passing yards and 28 touchdown passes on the season. Mayfield became the Heisman front-runner in the latest odds this week.
