Robert Landers provided one of the best moments of Week 1 when he scooped up a loose football and rumbled 35 yards to the end zone for touchdown return against Indiana on Thursday night. The sophomore even shook off would-be tacklers inside the 5-yard line.
Unfortunately for Landers (and the internet), the call of a fumble was overturned and Landers’ score did not count. It was not the first #FatGuyTouchdown of the season.
Landers bounced right back and provided another great moment Monday when he explained his disappointment in the call being overturned during a press conference.
“I was heartbroken,” the 283-pound Ohio State defensive tackle said. “That’s every fat boy’s dream.”

Landers quickly clarified, joking “I’m not fat. Just a little thick around the edges.”

Landers took it all in stride, saying “in my book, it still counts.” Luckily for Landers, the highlight will live forever.
