Micah Parsons changes his visit
Class of 2018 5-star defensive end Micah Parsons originally planned to visit Ohio State for the Penn State game, but his plans have changed. Instead, Parsons will be in Columbus on Saturday for the Buckeyes’ game against Oklahoma.
Parsons is the No. 1 defensive end and No. 5 overall prospect according to the 247Sports composite and also plans to visit Penn State and Nebraska before making a decision.
Mike Weber ready to play
Ohio State running back Mike Weber is healthy and ready to play against Oklahoma, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said Monday.
“Mike had a good practice today,” Meyer said. “He went full speed today.”
J.T. Barrett, J.K. Dobbins take awards
The Buckeyes had two players earn Big Ten recognition for their play in the 49-21 win against Indiana in the season opener last Thursday.
Quarterback J.T. Barrett was named Big Ten co-offensive player of the week and running back J.K. Dobbins was named Big Ten freshman of the week. Barrett passed for 304 yards and 3 touchdowns while Dobbins rushed for 181 yards on 29 carries.
