Billy Price is in his first year as Ohio State’s starting center — and he enters with high expectations. Price was a first-team selection on the Associated Press preseason All-American team, which was released Tuesday.
Price was a first-team All-American on the America Football Coaches Association team in 2016 as a guard. He’s sliding to the middle of the Buckeyes’ offensive line this season to take over for Pat Elfein.
Price was the only Ohio State player on the AP preseason first-team. Defensive end Tyquan Lewis was a second-team pick.
A senior, Price has started every game for Ohio State over the last three seasons. As a redshirt freshman, he helped the Buckeyes win the 2014 national title. Price hopes to repeat that feat in 2017, and he should also have a bright professional future ahead of him.
Talked about Billy Price on radio yesterday so watching more film. I absolutely love his play. Tough as hell mentality. Will be a Rd1 center
