Northwestern’s Ryan Field covered in snow day before Purdue game

Northwestern is hosting Purdue on Saturday in the first November night game in program history. The Wildcats and Boilermakers may be dealing with interesting elements under the lights.

There was a hearty November snowfall on Friday afternoon in Evanston, Ill. ESPN, which is covering tomorrow’s game on ESPN2, showed Ryan Field looking like a winter wonderland about 30 hours before Saturday’s 7 p.m. ET kickoff.

Ryan Field likely will not look the same for the Week 11 kickoff, however. According to AccuWeather, there is not a chance of snow for tomorrow’s game. But that doesn’t mean the weather will be great. According to the forecast, it will be 39 degrees at kickoff and it will feel like 31 degrees with a 15 percent chance of rain.

Northwestern is going for its 5th straight win. The Wildcats have won their previous 3 games in overtime, including a 31-24 win at Nebraska last week. They’ll hope for a little less drama against Purdue.
