We’ve all seen exactly how Ogbonnia Okoronkwo can devastate an offense. NFL Draft analysts are starting to notice as well.
Jon Ledyard of NDT Scouting says that Okoronkwo might be one of the best pass rushers in all of college football.
Ledyard thinks that “his stock will shoot up boards by the time draft season is officially upon us.”
Officially, Okoronkwo has eight sacks and two forced fumbles, but his impact on opposing quarterbacks can’t be measured in numbers. His constant pressure forces offenses to plan against him specifically, giving him a lot of freedom once the offense is forced to reveal its hand. Many have tried to stop him completely this season, but none have succeeded. You just have to slow him down and hope for the best.
As for the NFL Draft, it’s absolutely a possibility that he could slip into the first or second rounds. NFL teams are always looking for the next great pass rusher, and Okoronkwo is a guy established teams would be fine taking an early round chance on.
