Nebraska WR Jaevon McQuitty out for season with knee injury

Nebraska coach Mike Riley said freshman WR Jaevon McQuitty is out for the season. McQuitty hurt his knee during a block drill and will need surgery.

Riley also said JD Speilman and Keyan Williams, also receivers, pulled muscles and are out temporarily. While Speilman is day-to-day, Williams is expected to be out for two weeks.

Running back Tre Bryant also missed practice because of knee problems, but Riley expects Bryant to be back on Friday.

The Huskers are set to open the 2017 season Saturday, Sept. 2. Nebraska plays at home against Arkansas State.
