Derrick Morgan and Cameron Tringale are among the seven new selections for the Georgia Tech Sports Hall of Fame, Tech announced Thursday.

Morgan, a defensive end for the Yellow Jackets from 2007-09 and a veteran of nine seasons in the NFL, and Tringale, with 10 years on the PGA Tour, are joined by tennis player Alison Silverio, football player Tashard Choice, softball player Caitlin Lever, baseball player Danny Payne and head athletic trainer Jay Shoop.

“It is an honor to welcome seven new members to the Georgia Tech Athletics Hall of Fame,” athletic director Todd Stansbury said in a statement released by Tech. “Each member has left a lasting legacy on The Flats, not just through their actions on the fields and courses, but in how they have represented Georgia Tech throughout their lives. We’re proud that they’re Yellow Jackets and privileged to induct them into our Athletics Hall of Fame.”

The group will be inducted into the Georgia Tech Hall of Fame on Oct. 4 at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. The class will also be honored during Tech's football game against North Carolina on Oct. 5 at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
