Missouri received some bad news as the only 4-star prospect in its incoming class will miss some time due to injury.
Defensive end Akial Byers will be out for three weeks with a sprained left knee, as reported by Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Thursday.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound Byers, the No. 16 DT in the Class of 2017 out of Fayetteville Ark., was originally committed to Alabama. However, he failed to qualify at Tuscaloosa in January and instead went to junior college to play for Mississippi Gulf Coast CC.
He then made his pledge to Missouri on April 20 and enrolled at the school on July 1.
