“I would like to thank Coach Kill and his staff as well as Coach Fleck and his staff for letting me play at this institution and continue my education,” Holland wrote. “I have put in a lot of thought towards this and feel that this was the best decision for me. I would also like to thank all my friends, family and the Gopher fans for the support over the years. Ready to attack the next chapter in my life.”

From Ashburn, Va., Holland played mostly on special teams throughout his Minnesota career. He did make 2 catches for 8 yards during the 2015 campaign. As a fifth-year player, Holland will be immediately eligible wherever he transfers.

Holland is Minnesota’s second transfer in as many days. Quarterback Demry Croft said he was leaving the Gophers’ program on Monday because he said he was “falsely accused” and suspended for breaking a door during the 2017 season.
