Minkah Fitzpatrick leads 5 Alabama players on preseason AP All-America team

Minkah Fitzpatrick wasn’t going to let Alabama get shut out of the preseason AP All-America team. He ended 2016 as an All-American, and he’s going to start 2017 the same way.

The Crimson Tide’s standout defensive back is the team’s only member of the AP’s first team, released by the AP Tuesday afternoon. The SEC placed five players total on the first team, and nine on the second, all of which can be viewed here.

The Tide did the bulk of its damage on the second team, to which four other players were selected.

-Junior Running Back Bo Scarbrough

-Sophomore Offensive Tackle  Jonah Williams

-Junior Wide Receiver Calvin Ridley

-Senior Punter JK Scott

Alabama, ranked No. 1 by the AP to start the season, leads the nation with five players selected between the two teams.
