Oklahoma State fans will have to wait to see if they will retain the best coach in school history or not.
Gundy has flirted with other jobs in the past, but Tennessee has been reportedly throwing anything and everything at him. Peyton Manning has called Gundy, and Tennessee is reportedly offering to double his salary.
If Tennessee doesn’t get Gundy at this point, it will be a disaster for their program.
It’s hard to tell what Gundy will do, but conventional wisdom says he stays with the Cowboys. He was a legend as a player, and has spent little time living outside of Oklahoma. There’s no way to tell for sure, though. This is college football, and as we’ve learned over years and years, anything can happen.
