Devonta Jason did not make it to LSU for an official visit this past weekend, but that did not deter members of the Tigers’ coaching staff from checking in on the highly sought-after wide receiver.
LSU wide receivers coach and New Orleans area recruiter Mickey Joseph spent a good chunk of his Monday morning visiting with Jason at Landry-Walker (La.) High School. Joseph was working to mend fences with the 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect. Additionally, the two set up an in-home visit for Thursday evening.
Jason is scheduled to officially visit Kansas this weekend. Members of the Jayhawks’ coaching staff visited with the top-rated commitment during an in-home on Sunday night.
Jason is also scheduled to make an official visit to Mississippi State. Of course, with Dan Mullen departing for Florida this week, it has become a little unclear.
LSU is trying to bring Jason to campus for a mid-week official visit, if possible.
