Michigan’s 33-17 win against Florida at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday impressed more than a few people around the country. Voters in The AP media poll and Amway coaches poll moved the Wolverines up to No. 8 this week. 

Michigan was ranked No. 10 by the coaches and No. 11 by the AP in the preseason. Florida dropped from No. 17 to No. 22 in the AP poll, while the Gators are now No. 24 in the coaches poll after being No. 16 in the preseason poll.   

More than just a win

Michigan’s trip to the Lone Star state to play Florida also gave the Wolverines a chance to play in front of several potential recruits, including tight end Mustapha Muhammad of Missouri City, Texas. Steve Lorenz of 247Sports caught up with Muhammad to get his impressions of the game
