Michigan secondary coach Mike Zordich spoke with the media on Monday and explained how he’s challenging a talented but inexperienced group the first three weeks of camp. He mentioned several players who could end up playing this season at cornerback and safety, including redshirt sophomore Keith Washington.
According a report by Scout.com’s Sam Webb, Washington asked for a transfer later in the day Monday.

Wolverines voted No. 11 by AP
Preseason polls are all about driving speculation and providing some sort of guideline for the coming season. Michigan was ranked No. 10 in the first Amway coaches poll. The Wolverines are No. 11 in the first Associated Press Top 25, released Monday.
John Beilein, beyond coaching
The Atlantic is doing a series of articles entitled On The Shoulders of Giants and its most recent piece features Michigan men’s basketball coach John Beilein. Beilein will be entering his 11th season with the Wolverines and 26th at the Division I level in 2017-18. But he’s been coaching at the college level since 1978. This is a good look into Beilein and his focus not just as a coach but as a person.
