Wolverines LB Khaleke Hudson wins national honor
Wolverines linebacker Khaleke Hudson was named National Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Michigan’s 33-10 victory over Minnesota on Saturday. Hudson recorded 15 tackles, 3 sacks and 1 forced fumble and set a Michigan record with 8 tackles for loss.
Assessing Michigan’s run game
Nick Baumgardner of the Detroit Free Press cautions Wolverines fans not to get carried away by Michigan’s success on the ground the past two weeks; the Wolverines had similar success against weak teams in 2016.
Wolverines hope to land 4-star DT
Defensive tackle Tyler Friday listed the Wolverines as one of his final five choices on Monday night. He is considered a 4-star prospect by the 247Sports composite.
Update on 4 injured Wolverines
Starting right guard Michael Onwenu, starting receiver Grant Perry, fifth-year senior running back Ty Isaac and third-year tight end Tyrone Wheatley Jr. all missed Michigan’s win against Minnesota on Saturday. Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said there’s a “very good chance” all four would return this week.
