Defensive coordinator Don Brown rejects offer

Michigan defensive coordinator Don Brown turned down new Mississippi State coach Joe Moorhead, who had offered Brown the same position on his staff. Moorhead and Brown worked together in 2011 at Connecticut.

Wolverines could go to Outback Bowl

College football insider Bret McMurphy reported Tuesday that Michigan is “pretty much a lock” to play South Carolina in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1 in Tampa, Fla. Teams will officially find out their bowl destinations Sunday.
