It was a brutal weekend for Miami football, as the No. 2 Hurricanes fell to Pittsburgh in a loss that could doom their College Football Playoff hopes.
But it was a nice week on the hardwood – Miami rose to No. 10 in the AP Poll after beating La Salle and North Florida.
That gives the Miami football and basketball programs the following distinction:

Of course, there are no awards handed out for being ranked in the top 10 of both sports. But it’s a fun time to be a Miami fan – in football, and in basketball – nonetheless.
The Hurricanes could still make the College Football Playoff, but if they don’t, March Madness is just around the corner.
