Miami DT R.J. McIntosh vows to shut down his brother, a Notre Dame RB

There are few things in life that can crack a brotherly bond. With that said, there also aren’t many things as intense as Notre Dame vs. Miami.

Hurricane defensive tackle R.J. McIntosh has a tough job this week – to stop a Notre Dame rushing attack that’s taken the country by storm. Josh Adams is the lead dog in the Fighting Irish backfield, but Notre Dame has a stable of good backs.

One of them is R.J.’s brother, Deon McIntosh. The speedster has 367 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns on the season.

There will be no love lost between the two on Saturday night, though. From the Palm Beach Post:

“He’s a good player,” R.J. McIntosh said. “I grew up with him. We’re going to handle him, too.

“He trash-talks. He tries to get in my head. It’s going to be fun. He tries to pick on me. I pick on him. Very confident in our teams. I’ll be trash-talking out there to him, definitely.”

R.J. McIntosh is a year older and has 100 pounds on his brother, but Deon is a jitterbug. This will be a fun matchup within the matchup.
