The Terps have their starting quarterback. Sophomore Tyrrell Pigrome will be under center when Maryland opens its season on Saturday against No. 23 Texas.
The Terps revealed Pigrome would start when they released their depth chart on Monday afternoon. Pigrome beat out Kasim Hill and Max Bortenschlager for the job.

Pigrome played in 11 games as a freshman in 2016 and made one start. The Pinson, Ala. native had 322 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, two interceptions and a a 52.1 completion percentage. He also had 254 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
