Who will be the quarterback in LSU’s 2018 recruiting class?
That remains to be seen, but all indications are that coach Ed Orgeron and offensive coordinator Matt Canada are doing everything in their power to try and keep Justin Rogers in the state of Louisiana.
Rogers, a 4-star dual-threat quarterback and the top-ranked prospect at the position in-state, just wrapped up his first official visit — to LSU — this past weekend. Now, members of the staff will go in-home with Rogers on Wednesday ahead of a Dec. 22 signing ceremony.
Rogers committed to TCU over LSU and North Carolina back in May, but LSU has refused to slow down their pursuit of the Under Armour All-American — even after he tore his ACL during the first game of his senior season.
Rogers has remained solid in his commitment to the Horned Frogs, but the official visit to LSU made a strong impression on the 6-foot-3, 205-pound quarterback.
