Justin Watkins just returned from his official visit to LSU a few days ago, but will re-connect with members of the LSU coaching staff very soon.
Tigers defensive backs coach and Florida area recruiter Corey Raymond is scheduled go in-home with the versatile 4-star athlete on Wednesday evening.
Watkins, who made his first official visit to LSU over the weekend for the Texas A&M contest, told SEC Country the visit went very well for both him and his family.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect is being courted by Raymond, wide receivers coach Mickey Joseph and offensive coordinator Matt Canada as a slot receiver in the LSU offense. His role would include jet-sweeps and gadget plays.
Watkins committed to LSU — as a defensive back — as a freshman in high school. He since flipped to Florida State and then Texas before reopening his recruitment up prior to his senior season at Clermont (Fla.) East Ridge High School.
The Tigers have emerged as the frontrunner for the All-American, who plans on giving a commitment on Jan. 4 at the Under Armour All-America Game. LSU is a finalist.
