Lovejoy retires Choice's jersey

Georgia Tech tailback takes part in emotional ceremony at Lovejoy High School.

Choice speaks with the current members of the Lovejoy football team, who went 5-5 this season.

In his senior season in 2002, he was a member of the AJC Clayton/Henry Super 11 all-star team.

He also was first-team all-state selection as a senior, when he rushed for 1,200 yards, had 600 receiving yards and scored 17 touchdowns.

After being recruited by Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Choice signed a letter-of-intent to play at Oklahoma. But he played there only one season because of the presence of Adrian Peterson, a future Heisman Trophy winner.

After he transferred to Georgia Tech, Choice was a first-team All-ACC selection in 2006, rushing for 1,473 yards. He currently is the conference's rushing leader this season but has been slowed by injuries.

Choice says his mother Rosa Hamm (left) is the person he admires most: "She's really a strong woman, always pushing me to be the best I can be."
