We know Lamar Jackson is great, but just how great?
He had a magnificent 2016, accounting for 51 touchdowns and shredding foes through the air and on the ground. But in comparing him to some of the best college quarterbacks of the last 20 years – guys like Marcus Mariota, Cam Newton, Deshaun Watson and Tim Tebow – Jackson still comes out looking pretty good.

He’s second to Tebow in total rushing touchdowns. Only five guys on this list have averaged more than 3 touchdowns per game; Jackson is one of them. He’s the only QB of the group that has more than 100 touchdowns but has played in less than 35 games.
He has a chance to improve his standing with these elite signal callers with a few more good performances. Louisville may only be 5-4, but it has a living legend at quarterback.
