On Friday, Myles Garrett and Trevor Knight’s names were etched into stone outside of Kyle Field on the pillars that honor All-Americans and award winners.

Garrett was on the All-American pillar after his standout junior season. He racked up 8.5 sacks and 15.0 tackles for loss. In his Texas A&M career, he finished with 31.0 sacks. He was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, and has already gotten off to a strong start in the NFL.

Knight won the Weurffel trophy, which is given to the college football player that “best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.” The Aggies got off to a strong start last year with Knight, but the quarterback picked up an injury in the Mississippi State game and the Aggies faultered in his abscence.

Texas A&M opens up its 2017 season on the road against UCLA on Sept. 3.
