LOOK: Notre Dame fan creates ‘Touchdown Chain’ in response to Miami ‘Turnover Chain’

Notre Dame will try to keep the Miami turnover chain in the box this Saturday night during the major primetime showdown.

But this Irish superfan is making the trip down to South Florida decked out in some flashy Notre Dame inspired jewelry of his own.

Class of 2008 Notre Dame graduate Jimmy Small wants the nation to know that “The U” isn’t the only school with swag.

So he went to the lab and his craftsmanship will be on full display for the nationally televised audience.

His answer to the Miami turnover chain?

The Notre Dame touchdown chain.

The South Florida media surely isn’t pleased and this is bound to stoke the flames for the fan bases of the longtime rivals.

For reminders sake, here’s the Miami turnover chain given to Hurricanes defenders after a takeaway:

Miami will be seeking its first win against Notre Dame since a 27-10 victory in 1989. Miami lost at Notre Dame 30-27 last season.

Notre Dame leads the all-time series 18-7-1, with the games in Miami tied at 6-6-1.

No. 3 Notre Dame at No. 7 Miami is slated for an 8 p.m. ET Saturday on ABC.
