It’s 2017. That means recruiting is now a balance of tradition and appealing to a recruit with the best looking uniforms.
Mississippi State clearly recognizes that uniforms mean something. “Look good, play good” as the saying goes. The program unveiled a new sticker for the back of their helmets on Monday.

Some teams opt for stickers rewarding good play, others don’t put anything at all, but now the Bulldogs have a slick state outline. The details make the most of the new sticker with a star to mark Starkville on the map and “Hail State” written across the bottom.
The numbers, the SEC logo and an American flag mean the back of the helmet is reaching its capacity. Players and fans hope that’s all opposing teams will see this season as they attempt to chase down Donald Gray or Aeris Williams this season.
The Bulldogs open their season on Saturday against Charleston Southern. Kickoff is set for 4p.m. ET on SEC Network
