LOOK: Gators accidentally ‘like’ tweet from fan wanting Steve Spurrier as Florida’s OC

Steve Spurrier-Florida Gators-Florida Gators Football-tweet

Everyone has probably done this at one point or another, but this case was an extremely unfortunate circumstance for the Florida Gators.

The Florida athletic department’s official account claims it accidentally liked a tweet from a fan who endorsed Steve Spurrier for offensive coordinator. The account’s name also included the title “FireNuss”, a reference to current offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier.

Usually official accounts don’t respond to things like this so kudos to the Gators for addressing it. Photoshop can’t be ruled out in this instance either, but a lot of people aren’t pleased with Florida’s offense after its performance against Michigan.

The Gators only put up 192 total yards of offense and just nine rushing yards. Florida was held scoreless in the second half.

The responses in GIF form to the Gators’ tweet were pretty great too, it’s clear the fan base is upset with the performance and isn’t buying that it wasn’t intentional.
