ATLANTA, Ga., — The stage is set in Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the city of Atlanta is ready for an epic rematch.
Auburn and Georgia will face off for the second time in about a month, this time with a title on the line. In the first meeting weeks ago, the Tigers dominated Georgia. Still, this game could be different for various reasons.
For the Tigers, the most pressing concern is the health of star running back Kerryon Johnson. The junior injured his shoulder in the second half of the Iron Bowl and practiced some in the week that followed.
Kirby Smart’s team will be tasked with trying to score against a defensive line that tormented them in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Fortunately for the Bulldogs, Georgia fans have known their team would be here for weeks and have been scooping up tickets. It’s a neutral setting, but there’s a good chance the city of Atlanta will lean Georgia’s way.
