The final play of Tennessee’s victory on Monday won’t get old any time soon for Volunteers fans.

Catch your breath yet, Vols faithful? What a wild, wonderful 42-41 double-overtime triumph for Tennessee over Georgia tech at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Many times, the Volunteers looked to be at risk to begin the season with a 0-1 record. But Tennessee’s defense came up huge by stopping Yellow Jackets quarterback TaQuon Marshall near the goal line on the final play of the game, a two-point conversion attempt by Georgia Tech.

Not surprisingly, the radio call was amazing for the sequence. Give it a listen below, courtesy of IMG Audio.

Tennessee should enjoy the buzz that comes with this victory for a while. It’s easy to enjoy a dramatic result like this one.

The Vols play Indiana State at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday in Knoxville, with the game set to be televised on SEC Network.
